Street Rewrites

The signs we don’t notice — and the edits we almost made

This gallery is what happens when public space speaks in glitch. Street Rewrites collects images of urban text—signs, instructions, warnings—transformed by context, decay, or intervention. Whether subtly tweaked or wholly rewritten, these fragments reflect the quiet resistance of language.

Every sticker, scribble, or mistranslation shown here is a soft rebellion. Not every viewer will decode them. That’s part of their charm. In Bunkros fashion, we archive the uncatalogued. The misread. The misused. Call it semiotic graffiti or just good timing — the streets were speaking before we learned how to listen.
